Owning your first home just got more affordable.
On March 12, 2026, Bill C-4 received Royal Assent, eliminating GST on brand new homes priced up to $1M, with partial rebates available up to $1.5M.
That’s savings of up to $50,000 on your new home.
*You may qualify if:
✔ You’re a first-time buyer (no property ownership in the last 4 years)
✔ You’re 18+ and a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
✔ The home is brand new and will be your primary residence
Already purchased a new home?
If your agreement was signed on or after March 20, 2025, you may already be eligible and can now apply through the CRA.
